Cape Town Art Fair : Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) 1 Lower Long Street

20 - 22 February 2026
Overview

Booth S9

Namuso Gallery is honored to present a curator-invited solo booth by Tja Ling Hu at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2026.

Tja Ling Hu explores memory, womanhood, and diasporic identity through painting, works on paper, and ceramics. Her practice reflects on family histories and intergenerational experience, translating personal narratives into quiet, contemplative compositions. Positioned between Eastern and Western cultural frameworks, her works inhabit a space shaped by migration, cultural translation, and belonging. Through restrained imagery and layered surfaces, Hu examines how identity is formed through memory, inheritance, and displacement—reframing diaspora as a lived, evolving condition rather than a fixed origin.
