Cape Town Art Fair : Solo - Tja Ling Hu : Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) 1 Lower Long Street

20 - 22 February 2026
Overview

Namuso Gallery is pleased to present a curator-invited  solo booth by Tja Ling Hu at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2026.

The presentation brings together Hu's works from 2024–2025 alongside a new body of work created specially for the fair. Working with oil on canvas, hand-built ceramics, and detailed works on paper, Hu reflects on womanhood, family stories, and diasporic memory. Her Chinese-Dutch background plays an important role in how she approaches identity, revealing how personal and inherited histories shape who we become. The booth highlights the development of her practice over the past two years and introduces new works that continue her interest in intimate portraits across different mediums.

This solo presentation marks an exciting milestone for both the artist and Namuso Gallery, reflecting our commitment to presenting cross-cultural voices across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
