Sangha Yoon
Sangha Yoon (b. 1995) is a young Korean artist known for his realistic fairy tale images that explore themes of instability and existential anxiety. Through the perspective of a fictional character who never settles, Sangha captures various characters and situations in a world where science fiction, fantasy, and storytelling intertwine.
In his art, Sangha depicts boys using construction site debris as toys, immigrants constantly on the move, and spore-shaped dolls with multiple personalities. These elements highlight the harsh realities of a world marked by continuous extinction and creation, mirrored in a three-dimensional virtual space that is both amplified and erased indiscriminately.
Sangha’s works have been exhibited across South Korea, China, the UK, and the Netherlands, with a recent showcase at Art Busan in Korea. His pieces are also part of the collections at the Seoul Museum of Art, the Gwangju Museum of Art, and the Chosun University Museum of Art in Gwangju, among others.
