Solo show: 7,000 Stars and the Promised Land

Gwangju based artist, Lee Maelee has been officially invited to present a solo exhibition as part of the 40th Sarajevo Winter Festival, featured in the festival’s special opening program. The exhibition, titled “7,000 Stars and the Promised Land,” will run from February 8 to March 8, 2025, across several key venues including the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chaelama Depot Contemporary, and the BKC Bosnia Cultural Center.

This project has been selected for support by the Arts Council Korea’s 2025 International Collaboration Grant. Lee Maelee’s work engages with the symbolic and complex geopolitical context of Sarajevo, responding to its layered history and identity as a place of memory and convergence.
