TIAN TENG, SANGHA YOON: Edges of Perception
Namuso Gallery is pleased to present 'Edges of Perception,' the gallery's first official exhibition that explores the dynamic intersections of reality and imagination by Sangha Yoon and Tian Teng, two young artists.
Edges of Perception explores the shifting boundaries between reality and imagination, inviting viewers to reconsider how they perceive the world. Through contrasting yet complementary approaches, Yoon and Teng engage in a compelling dialogue that oscillates between the real and the illusory, the stable and the fluid.
Sangha Yoon’s paintings weave together fairy-tale imagery and contemporary unease, capturing moments of existential confusion and transformation. His surreal scenes, inhabited by recurring characters in transient landscapes, evoke the instability and dreamlike quality of modern existence. In contrast, Tian Teng turns her gaze toward the quiet poetry of everyday life. Her photorealistic paintings illuminate fleeting, often overlooked moments, transforming the ordinary into something contemplative and profound.
Together, their works invite audiences to traverse the delicate edge between the fantastical and the familiar—offering new ways of seeing, sensing, and understanding the world around us.
