Thu Do (b. 2005, The Netherlands, of Vietnamese origin) is a painter based in the Netherlands. Light, reflection, and the material language of painting lie at the centre of her practice. Working from photographs taken during fleeting encounters with light, she transforms ephemeral moments into restrained oil paintings that oscillate between recognition and abstraction. Through subtle shifts in colour, surface, and luminosity, her works invite a sustained, attentive gaze, exploring how perception is shaped by memory, atmosphere, and the act of looking.
